Gabriel Kieling é arquiteto. Nasceu e cresceu no centro de São Paulo. A cidade sempre teve grande influência em sua vida e consequentemente em suas obras. Encontrou no desenho o seu maior refúgio, e desejando buscar novas referências para seu trabalho, adentrou diversas vertentes das artes plásticas, passando pela Xilogravura, Stencil e Serigrafia. A rua fez parte de um processo natural, onde a ânsia de se expressar o fez buscar uma escala maior que a do papel. Começou sua trajetória através do Lambe-lambe e posteriormente ingressou no mundo do Grafite. A cidade tornou-se, então, um suporte infinito para seu trabalho. Seus traços remetem desde a arte oriental à arte de cordel. Suas influências mais fortes são artistas como Klimt e Shiele, além de diversos artistas urbanos. O preto e branco de sua arte expõe os opostos, o contraste do dia e da noite, o dilema da vida e da morte, a dualidade do universo, a harmonia e o caos...

Gabriel Kieling is an architect. Born and raised in São Paulo’s downtown. The city has always had great influence in his life and consequently in his works. He found in drawing its main refuge and wishing to find new references, he came into different aspects of visual arts, through Woodcut, Stencil Art and Silk Screen. The streets were part of a natural process where the urge to express himself made him seek for a scale larger than the paper. He got started through the Wheat-paste and later entered the world of Graffiti. So, the city became an infinite canvas for his work. His style recalls Eastern Art and Cordel Art. His strongest influences are artists such as Klimt and Shiele, along with several urban artists. The black and white of his art exposes the opposite, the contrast of day and night, the dilemma of life and death, the duality of the universe, harmony and chaos...
